Successful start-up, commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company identifying, developing, and commercializing novel, patent protected products in selected specialty, rare and ultra-rare disease areas on a global basis.

With the recent acquisition, further diversifies Company’s pipeline, with both commercial products in medical food for the treatment of phenylketonuria (PKU), and promising clinical-stage programs pending for the treatment of epidermolysis bullosa (EB).

The primary responsibility of the CML is to serve as the internal patient liaison for PKU in the innovative metabolic Phe free protein formula for patients with PKU.  The CML will monitor the patient journey and provide feedback to internal Company team members. The CML will learn from the family how their sample trial with product went and support follow through with the primary RD.  The CML will coordinate solutions to logistical issues that are impacting treatment initiation of therapy and initiate access to the appropriate Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). The CML will coordinate escalation needs as they arise and ensure internal stake holders are made aware of interruptions to the patient process.

The CML will work closely with the contracted DME, coordinating patient education and hand off to the RD for referrals. The CM will interact with RDN’s, physicians, nurses, ancillary staff, patients/families, and advocacy groups to support access to Company products.

The role is a vital part of the growth at Company and will grow to oversee all contract management obligated activities between Company and the DME. The role reports into the Director, Head of Market Access for the U.S.




  • Work collaboratively with Sales, Medical, Marketing, DME (Pentec) and Market Access to gather and communicate RD and Patient insights to ensure we are maximizing our efforts to serve PKU Patients.
  • Facilitate interactions with RDN’s, patients, HCP’s, and the contracted DME in relation to all sample requests.
  • Serve as the face of Company in interactions with all patients requesting samples.
  • Maintain a database of all interactions and collect all marketing appropriate data for internal dissemination.
  • In interfacing with patients, you will act as the subject matter expert in PKU and the use of PKU ‘product’ as an appropriate Phe free protein supplement.
  • Support logistics and product distribution of all products through the contracted DME.
  • The role will evolve into managing the relationship with the DME and supporting all active cases.

  • B.S. required; MS desired.
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with 2+ years’ experience in Inborn Errors of Metabolism.
  • Previous launch experience required.
  • Effective teamwork skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; proactive cross-functional communicator.
  • Strong communicator with large degree of empathy.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.

Salary range: $145K - $165K plus Annual Bonus + Long Term Incentive/Equity stock options
