Innovative Global Pharma/Biotech company seeking a senior level experienced marketing individual responsible for optimizing sales and profits for company pharmaceutical portfolio. Develop and execute product strategy around new in-line products for the commercial business. This position is a highly visible position within the designated therapeutic Business Unit.  Primary responsibilities include building core strategic commercial elements for successful launches, Brand Planning, and in-line brand life cycle management.  Require cross-functional and organizational leadership to effectively develop and execute brand strategy, and effectively monitor and evaluate performance.  This role will serve as ‘Launch Lead’ for a new product launch.

This position will partner closely with specific dept and peer levels within the company incl., Field Leadership, Market Access, Business Analysis & Insights, Medical Affairs / MSLs, Training and Development, and be responsible for monitoring Net Sales and expense budgets to maximize product contribution.

  • Possess exceptional commercial acumen and strategic marketing skills with product launch or new indication launch experience, having consistently achieved Net Sales and market share objectives. ‘Specialty Disease Market’ (Derm, Oncology, HIV, Nephrology, etc) experience required.  Experience across multiple stages of product lifecycle (Clinical Development through Phase III) and have supported new product development by working with cross-functional teams, providing commercial input and advice, evaluating target profiles and making recommendations that enhance long-term commercial value.
  • Embedded strong entrepreneurial drive and can translate ideas to action to help build a Specialty Disease Market Business Unit. Successfully managing complex projects and driving for improvement of business results and energized by a challenge, sets stretch goals, and deliverables expectations.
  • Leadership ability to motivate and lead home office and field sales teams, having managerial strength to stand by difficult decisions. Strong leader with a track record of attracting, developing, and retaining top-tier talent and, be experienced in optimizing team performance and creating an atmosphere of true teamwork, routinely facilitating the exchange of ideas.  Leadership through Launch Readiness and Brand Planning will be early key deliverables.  Ideal candidate will lead with drive and energy with an eye on the bottom line, take appropriate risk and motivate individuals and teams to perform at their highest level.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions, build alignment and drive high performance around key objectives.  Possess excellent communication skills, be an excellent listener and employ frequent and effective follow-up.
  • 8 – 10+ years of pharma/biotech industry or consulting experience; strong track record of success in commercial leadership roles.
  • Proven strategic marketer with a strong commercial mindset. At least 3 – 5 years in marketing, pre-launch market planning/new product commercialization, business development, or a combination thereof.
  • ‘Specialty Disease Market’ (Dermatology, Oncology, HIV, Nephrology, etc) experience strongly preferred.
  • BS/BA degree in a relevant discipline (marketing, science, or finance) is required. Advanced science degree (MBA, MD, RN, PharmD, PhD) is preferred.
  • Bring a strong understanding of the specialty pharmaceutical commercialization process.


Up to $225K+ plus 25% Annual Bonus + Incentives
