Seeking a successful Business Development Leader with high energy, creativity, and an innovative streak, who is looking to grow with a company in an energized and dynamic working environment with strong support and ancillary personnel.

The VP, Business Development provides direct sales and services primarily to pharmaceutical, biotech and diagnostic companies. This is a true ‘hunter’ role, and the candidate is expected to prospect, develop and close new business in the pharmaceutical/biotech prospect industry base of companies. This key role will focus on the sales of targeted data/insights products and services, provider education, clinical and commercial products and services to build and grow revenue and to consistently deliver product goals. To achieve, need to demonstrate initiative, drive, and independence; take ownership by demonstrating outstanding account management-based selling skills.

  • Responsible for effectively communicating and selling the benefits of the growing and evolving product and service offerings within the ONCOLOGY space including: Provider Education, Marketing/Commercial Services and Data and Insights Products and Services.
  • Sell company offerings to commercial and medical leaders with a consultative and solution-oriented approach
  • Meet and exceed sales goals and achieve maximum sales growth
  • Successfully build and execute an annual business plan with quarterly updates
  • Reference as well as cold calling to build a sales pipeline that will provide ongoing revenue goal achievement
  • Accurately forecast and maintain a sales funnel of new opportunities
  • Effectively manage remote commercial activities and travel logistics to maximize sales productivity requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Science background highly desired
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ medical outside sales experience required including business to business
  • Previous experience selling directly to pharmaceutical commercial, HEOR, medical teams.
  • Proven success managing a book of business
  • Ability to collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success and operations teams to grow the business
  • Demonstrated track record of recent success and sales accomplishments
  • Strong consultative selling and closing skills
  • Ability to understand and articulate complex scientific literature and use extensive and complex clinical data as a key factor in the sales process

Salary:

up to $225K+ plus 40% - 50% bonus + Equity Incentives
